Heirloom Vegetables

What defines Heirloom Produce at Jones Heritage Farms?
Defining heirloom produce is no easy task. Some say the plant must have been introduced at least 50 years ago, while others believe varieties should be 100 years old to qualify. A handful of gardeners consider newer varieties heirloom if they possess a unique look or taste. We define all of our offerings as heirloom produce. Our selections have been introduced at least 100 years ago and come from seed that have not been genetically altered, some varieties date back as far as 120 years.

At Jones Heritage Farms you'll find the freshest heirloom produce that tastes like it was meant to in the good old days. We grow heirloom potatoes, tomatoes, asparagus, lettuce, carrots and corn. On our farm, we forego the use of synthetic, man-made substances to control pests, to combat weeds or to pump up the size and earliness of their crops. Organic farmers like us use sustainable, environmentally friendly techniques and management practices to produce food.
